Okay, so I am a conservative. That doesn’t mean I am a Republican. A large majority of them have sold themselves to special interest groups, I detest them so! When I say conservative, I mean someone who cares about one’s country, environment, limited government, and values freedom and family! I would like to think that I pattern myself after my grandfather. First off he was a patriot. He understood what freedom and sacrifice embodies. A prime example of my grandfather’s self sacrifice was his willingness to do whatever it took to keep his family together. During the 1930s he lost his farm and was forced to move even further north into Saskatchewan, Canada. Here he homesteaded land with a large family, a few animals, and some hand tools. He carved himself out of the wilderness a 480 acre farm capable of sustaining himself and his family. He did not ask the government to do anything for him other than to stay out of his business. What a concept!
